Mary Jerome Perry, age 88, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016 at her Arizona retirement home with loving husband and daughter by her side.

She was predeceased by her first son Jerome Perry, brothers Albert and Robert Jerome, and sister Adeline (Jerome) Riesenbeck. Mary is survived by her husband of 66½ years Manuel F. Perry Jr., second son Joe (and Debbie) Perry, third son Frank Perry, daughter Rosalie (and Bob) Pace, two granddaughters Brie and Ashley (Joe and Debbie), and great-granddaughter Natalie (Brie).

She was born May 26, 1927 in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, to Joseph and Mary (Souza) Jerome. At age 5, Mary moved with her family to Valley Home, California, where her father ran the family’s successful dairy farm. She met Manuel, a WWII veteran, through her best friend Alice Perry (sister of Manuel). They married October 16, 1949 in St Patrick’s Church and resided in the Escalon area until moving their family to Modesto in 1966. Mary and Manuel moved to Arizona in 2015.

Mary’s memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at Desert Winds Retirement Community Chapel, 20545 N. Lake Pleasant Road, Peoria, AZ 85382. Mary will be forever missed for her sweet and loving heart.
