Madeline “Babe” Marie Thornhill, 81, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 in Stockton.

Born Madeline Azevedo in Two Rocks, CA on Dec. 29, 1931 she called Escalon her home for 30 years.

Survivors include her loving children, Jerald, James, Jeanette, John, Julianne and Jacklyn; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was the perfect mother-in-law. She was loved by all and will be missed by all.

Her husband of 62 years Jerry; her parents, John and Marie Azevedo; brothers Richard and William; and infant daughter Joanne preceded her in death.

Arrangements were by Deegan Funeral Chapel.

Visitation was Monday, Sept. 16 with a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Her final resting place will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
