Lucille 'Lucy' Anderson, 84, formerly of Escalon, passed away recently.

Born in Wisconsin on July 22, 1927, she graduated from college at the age of 19, and moved west to start a career. She first worked in San Francisco, CA and then moved to Escalon. While in Escalon, she met and married Philip 'Andy' Anderson. They moved to Long Beach and started a family. Her sons Philip and Scott, along with daughters Ceil and Debra, were born there. The family moved to Escalon, where her son Bart was born. Mrs. Anderson's teaching career continued and lasted over 30 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher. She taught all who knew her something special.

After retiring, Mrs. Anderson and her husband moved to Modesto.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

A memorial gift in Lucy's name may be given to Memorial Hospital in Modesto.
