Katsue "Kako" Womack, 69, a resident of Modesto, passed away Dec. 3, 2008 at Acacia Park Nursing and Rehab in Modesto.

She was born April 5, 1939 in Kyushu, Japan and moved to the states after marrying her husband Larry Womack. They were married for 41 years.

She is survived by her three siblings, Yoshio Yamaguchi of Japan, Tokieo Yamaguchi of Japan, and Kazuko Balcom of Fallon, NV; one niece, Malinda Sammarripa of Fallon, NV and one nephew, Ronald Balcom of Fallon, NV.

Kako was preceded in death by her parents, Shoeichgi and Kome Yamaguchi.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and taking care of her home. She was an avid animal lover and will be remembered as a loving wife, sister and friend to many.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Graveside services will be on Thursday, Dec. 11 at noon at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
