John rode his heavenly motorcycle on that golden path into the clouds. He will be missed by family and friends. John lived his whole life in Oakdale and went to Oakdale High School. He joined the Army and did his tour in Vietnam until he was honorably discharged in 1967. After the Army he drove long haul trucks for many years before going to work for a can company where he retired. John was the son of John and Bernice Carlile and brother to Claudora (Leo) Carrillo. He also leaves behind his niece Kristine (Ron) Helms, his nephew Randal (Jannelle) Carrillo, 4 great nieces; Kayla (Michael) Lawson, Nicole Helms, Leticia Carrillo and Marissa Carrillo, 3 great nephews; Vincent Helms, Erik Helms, and Elias Carrillo along with 2 great great nieces; Isabell Lawson and Natalie Lawson and 1 great great nephew Ryker Lacy. A visitation will be held Monday, June 22, 2015 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon at 11am followed by burial at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, 28320 E. River Rd.  Everyone is welcome to celebrate John’s life with family and friends at the Escalon Masonic Lodge,  1500 Viking St., Escalon.
