Jess Wayne Wry, 67, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.
He was born in Spokane, Washington on Dec. 22, 1946. He was a Civil Engineer and owner of Quality Control Inspection in Modesto, CA, from 1964 to 2009.
He played the drums for local clubs in the 1970s and '80s. He also enjoyed music from the '50s era.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wry; two children, Brandon Wry of Sonora and Tara Fant of Los Angeles; three step-children, Opal Finan of Indiana, Pam Galbreath of Escalon, and Mike Rich of Turlock; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by step-son, Brett Rich.
Visitation and service were Friday, Feb. 8 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon, followed by a graveside service at Burwood Cemetery.
