Gregory Nathan Wann, 54, passed away at home on Thursday, Feb. 19.

Born on Feb. 9, 1955 in Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, he was a resident of Escalon for the past 40 years.

He graduated from Escalon High School in 1973 and worked for Pacific Gas & Electric for 32 years. Throughout his life, Mr. Wann enjoyed traveling, fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his three children Alicia (Tony) Johnson of Escalon, Betsey (Bill) Hodges of Sacramento, and Jonathan Wann of Escalon; three grandchildren, Ethan, Sophie and Lucas Johnson; a brother, Mike (Pat) Wann of Anchorage, AK and sister, Brenda (Sam) Ross of Modesto, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Maurine Wann and brother Gary Wann.

A memorial service was Tuesday, March 3 at the Escalon Presbyterian Church.
