Gertrude Cornelia Oosterman, 86, passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2008 at Bethany Home in Ripon.
She was born in Maasland, Netherlands on Nov. 4, 1922.
Survivors include her five children, Jacob Oosterman of Oakdale, Joni Fredriks of Ripon, Nick Oosterman of Klamath Falls, OR, Nelly Oosterman of Modesto and John Oosterman of Ripon; one sister Kok Goedendorp and one brother Nico Buijnink, both of the Netherlands; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Cor Oosterman. Visitation will be held at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel in Ripon on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be held at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at Escalon Christian Reformed Church in Escalon.
The family requests that donations be made to Bethany Home, 930 West Main St., Ripon, CA 95366 in lieu of flowers.
Deegan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
