Dwight Edward 'Harry' Harrison, 64, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 13 while vacationing with his brother in New Orleans.

He was born in Modesto on Aug. 2, 1945 to Fay and Jessie Harrison. He attended schools in Escalon, graduating from Escalon High School. He graduated from Barber School and received his barber license in 1965. For a short time he had his own barbershop in Escalon, then worked 20 years for Petri Winery, where he retired.

Mr. Harrison moved to Oklahoma in 1991. He lived in Boswell for the last 10 years. He was a member of the City Council of Boswell for two years and was instrumental in developing a Youth Center and Dog Pound for the city.

He enjoyed gardening, traveling with his brother, fishing, spending time with great grandson and sitting on his front porch visiting with his friends and family. He loved his two dogs that were around him constantly.

Survivors include his children, Sherrie Emery of Delhi, Tyler Harrison of Modesto, and Kelly Harrison of Riverbank; stepchildren, Christi Michael of Boswell, OK, Mike Armbrister of Hugo, OK; 13 grandchildren and one great grandson; sister, Katherine (David) Steed and brother Eddie (Sharon) Harrison and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Cline) Harrison, his parents, brothers, Jimmie and Phil.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 20 at Victory Life Church in Boswell, OK. Officiating was Bro. Terry Brown under the direction of Miller & Miller Funeral Home.
