Donna Sue Olguin, 62, died at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson on Wednesday, June 16.

She was born to Delmer Leeroy and Mildred Kerns in Stockton on May 13, 1948. She was raised in the Bay area and attended Clayton Valley High School, graduating class of 1966.

She and her husband moved their family from San Lorenzo and have made their home in Modesto for the past 26 years.

Mrs. Olguin worked at AT&T and had a broad career in retail sales and administration with Sears, Mervyns and Macys as well as the Bank of America. However, the joy of her life was her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were a great source of pride as she taught them courage, compassion, kindness, love and honor. She will be missed but will live forever in the hearts of her family, friends and everyone that knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Ernest Anthony Olguin; children Kimberly Rae Hooper of Modesto, Johnathon Lee Hooper of Modesto, Bonnie Sue Horn of Modesto and Christina Marie Armosino of Escalon; grandchildren Daniel Hooper, Scotty LeDoux, Teara Bullock, Chezaraii Horn, Brittney Bullock, Samantha Armosino, Andrew Armosino and Jacob Hooper; two great granddaughters; mother, Mildred Louise Webber of San Pablo; and siblings Ramona Kay West of Concord and Randy Kerns of San Pablo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Delmer Leeroy Kerns in 1983 and her sister, Tammy Gail Cline in 1988.

Funeral services were Tuesday, June 22 at Deegan Chapel in Escalon with private burial at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
