Donald Wendland passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the age of 83. He was born September 9, 1938. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Esther Wendland. He was a proud father to two children: Dennis Wendland and Denise Burtson; and grandfather to five grandchildren: Judd Wendland, Sydney Wendland, Amanda Wendland Yates, Ryan Burtson and Hayley Burtson Rush; and great-grandfather to Joseph Rush.
As a lifelong Escalon resident and farmer, Donald will be deeply missed by all those who were privileged enough to have known him.
A short graveside ceremony will be held on Tuesday, November 9 at 11 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road, Escalon. Any remembrances may be made to the Escalon Lions Club, P.O. Box 486, Escalon, CA 95320.
