David Eugene Dupont, 59, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3.

He was born in Stockton on Nov. 26, 1949 and in 1959 his family moved to Farmington.

For the past several years he had resided in the Carpenter Home, a group home for the disabled, in Stockton. He passed away suddenly from bacterial pneumonia and the flu H1N1.

Mr. Dupont will leave a large gap in the lives of those who knew him. They will miss the love that he profoundly expressed each and every time they saw him.

Survivors include his two sisters, Marilyn Fregien and Ms. Barbara Dupont; brother-in-law Ken Fregien; nephews Ken Fregien Jr., Brian Martin and Shane Ross; nieces Debora L. Bielinski, Rhonda Hansen; and many other younger nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, who both passed away in 2007.

Memorial service was held on Wednesday, Sept. 9 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin Street in Escalon. He was laid to rest alongside his father in the Farmington Cemetery.
