C.W. 'Pete' Hall, 88, died Saturday, April 4.

He lived in Oakdale his entire life.

He attended Oakdale and Escalon high schools, graduating in 1939. He attended Modesto Jr. College.

He was a veteran of World War II and served in the U.S. Army Air Force in North Africa and Italy.

He lived and worked the majority of his life in the Oakdale area, which he loved. He was a partner with the Bacigalupis in the H-B building for 40 years. He was a real estate broker and always said that a man's word is his bond.

He was a strong, loving father, a friend with a smile and a helping hand, the kind of man that could be depended upon.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Hall; children, Sheary Byington of San Jose, Debra Dickerson of Los Angeles, Glen Van Artsdalen, and Michael Hall, both of La Grange; brother, Warren Hall; grandchildren, Stacey Moro, Rodney Welch, Reed Welch, Rachel Welch, Alyssa Bettenzoli, Alivia Bettenzoli, and Carnegie Hall; and great-grandchild, Amidee Zumwalt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorthea Hall; and brother, Mahlon Hall.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. Burial will follow at Burwood Cemetery.
