Connie Jean Bader, 80, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013. She was being visited and comforted by family members at the Windsor Elmhaven Care Center in Stockton, California at the time of her passing.

She was born to the late Henry and Verona Beebe, on Dec. 15, 1933 in Peace River, Alberta, Canada. She came to the United States with her family in 1948 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1950. Connie graduated from Jordan High School in North Long Beach in 1952. She married Ronald Bader in 1956 and they lived together in Huntington Beach before relocating in Escalon to help work the family dairy along with her husband’s parents in 1962.

She was a homemaker and mother of three children. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing and gardening in her spare time. She had a keen eye for that special bolt of fabric and enjoyed using her sewing projects to decorate the family home and clothe her children for school and special occasions.

She also enjoyed home improvement projects. The family was always left wondering if the walls and ceilings would be intact when arriving home. She knew no strangers and her funny, happy disposition was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her three children Robynn (Ron) Suko, Ron (Julie) Bader Jr., Penny (John) Garcia; their father Ronald Bader; her brother Dwain (Rebecca) Beebe; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon.
