Clarence "Bud" Peters, 85, of Escalon died Sunday, March 13 at his home.
Born in Iowa, he had lived in Escalon for 58 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1945 to 1946.
A member of Oakdale Golf and Country Club, he was also a member of the San Joaquin County Farm Bureau, was an active 4-H leader for 35 years and a member of the Escalon Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting and golf and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Veda Peters of Escalon; children, Rodney Peters of Escalon, Janice Camarena of Modesto and Anada Cooper of Oakwood, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be private, with private burial at Burwood Cemetery. Visitation was held.
