Charles "Charlie" Fisher, 90, of Ripon died Saturday, March 20 at his home. A native of Oakland, he had lived in Ripon for 83 years.

He was a farmer for 80 years on his Ripon ranch and also was a veteran of the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and serving from 1941 to 1945. He enjoyed visiting with his friends at the VFW in Ripon, gardening, fishing and reading. He was a member of the Ripon VFW, retired member of the Ripon Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Ripon Odd Fellows and past treasurer of the Atlantis School in Ripon, serving for eight years. He was a loving grandfather.

Survivors include his children, Charles R. Fisher and Jerry J. Fisher, both of Ripon; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Fisher, in 1988 and by two brothers, Fred Fisher and Paul Fisher.

No visitation. Funeral services are planned on Saturday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at Ripon VFW Hall, 12455 East Ripon Road, Ripon.

Private interment at Parkview Cemetery.
