Carmen Nungaray Gonzalez, 63, died Tuesday, July 27 surrounded by family and friends.

She was born March 20, 1947 in Tijuana to Antonia and Epifanio Gonzalez.

At nine months, she immigrated with her family to California and moved to the Escalon area. She attended Van Allen Elementary School, Escalon High and Modesto Junior College.

She helped out during harvest by working on the family farm and she also worked for Blue Diamond. She was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt and cousin.

Survivors include her brothers, Leopoldo, Herman, Robert, Joe and Steven; and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Claus Road in Riverbank on Saturday, Aug. 7 with a private graveside service at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.

Memorial donations may be made to the The American Kidney Fund.
