Athena was born August 25, 1928 and went to Heaven February 6, 2016.
Tena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
Tena was a long-time resident of Escalon and worked for the Escalon School District as secretary for Dent School. She worked there for many years before moving to the District Office. After retiring from the School District, Tena operated her own floral shop for many years. Upon retiring from the floral shop, Tena was involved in many fundraisers and charity work. Her focus in the past few years has been making and giving away her “bears.” She was most proud that they went in the Operation Shoebox that traveled around the world. Using her bears to spread love and put a smile on someone’s face meant so much to her. Her loving spirit and gentle ways touched so many people. She will be truly missed.
Tena was surrounded by her loving family; Keith and Stella Pope of Escalon, Stefany and Scott Trevarthen of Riverbank, Kevin Pope of Modesto, George Hrones of Lodi, and Nick Hrones of Lodi.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, George Hrones; also her father and mother, Nick and Angelina Skouras.
Honoring her wishes, a private family dinner will be held in her memory.
