Antonia Gonzalez, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Escalon on Sunday, Dec. 20.

She was born on April 11, 1919 in Rancho Las Huertas, Nochistalan Zacatecas. Her passion was her flower garden, her family and helping others.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a faithful servant of Jehovah for 48 years, and was baptized on February 4 in 1961. She was known for her unselfish love and attention to those around her. She will truly be missed.

Survivors include her children, Leopoldo, Herman, Carmen, Robert, Jose and Steven; her siblings Gilbert Mendez, Ignacio Mendez, and Jesus Mendez; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Epifanio, who passed away in 1974.

Visitation was Monday, Dec. 28 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Escalon. A Memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 29 at Deegan Funeral Chapel with burial following at Burwood Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice.
