Alva “Bub” Knox, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26.

Born Aug. 19, 1933 he was a lifelong resident of Escalon.

“Bub” was a proud Army veteran (2nd Airborne) and was a sheet metal worker for over 35 years. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lorena Knox; two children, Susan Backser of Sonora and Rick Rogers of Manteca; and two siblings, Charles Knox and Russel Knox of Escalon.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Deegan Funeral Chapel, where a visitation was held on Thursday, Jan. 30.

A graveside service was held on Friday, Jan. 31 at Burwood Cemetery.
