Winter Homecoming Festivities Set At EHS
Cougars

Escalon High School will stage its Winter Homecoming this month, with activities scheduled from Tuesday, Jan. 25 through Friday, Jan. 28.

The Homecoming King candidates are scheduled to be announced on Friday, Jan. 21.

The theme is “Ho Ho Homecoming and a Happy New Year” and individual classes chose different Christmas themes or movies to emulate. These will be used for decorating their class shopping cart ‘floats’ and the week will also include dress up days and themes.

There is no school on Monday, Jan. 24 so the theme days will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 25 with Christmas Morning – PJ Day and Wednesday, Jan. 26 will be Crocin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Wear your Crocs day. On Thursday, the theme is New Year – New Me and will be Dress like a Classmate day; Friday, Jan. 28 will be observed as EHS has Spirit day, dress in school spirit wear. There will be an afternoon rally on Friday on the football field.

The Homecoming boys basketball games are scheduled for that Friday evening, Jan. 28; officials hope to have a gym full of spectators but said that will depend on what the COVID regulations look like at that time.

The games are against Ripon Christian; with freshmen scheduled at 4 p.m.; JV at 5:30 p.m., varsity at 7 p.m.
