These warmer days also remind us that it is time to finish up the school year with sports playoffs, awards shows, music concerts, field trips, testing, senior events, and of course, graduation. May is also an exciting time for the students as they can clearly see the finish line of the 2023-24 school year!

While the final months are filled with a flurry of exciting events, they also mark a period during which some students will participate in local and state assessments. The CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) tests our 11th grade students in ELA, Math, and Science, providing them with valuable insights and serving as an early placement test for their chosen colleges. Additionally, many students in 10th through 12th grade embarked on AP exams starting the first week of May. These students have dedicated the entire year to preparing for these exams, aiming to achieve a score of 3 or higher to earn college credit for their efforts.

With the arrival of May, the Senior Class braces for a mix of emotions. As graduation nears, there’s a blend of excitement for finishing exams and papers, along with a sense of nostalgia as they realize they’re approaching their final days in these halls. But there’s plenty to savor in these last moments together. From prom to grad night, senior sunset to senior rally, and all the way to graduation, seniors will have chances to make memories with friends that will last a lifetime. These events will be cherished by everyone who attends, serving as reminders of the bonds formed throughout their high school years.

The EHS graduation ceremony is scheduled for the evening of May 31st. Parents and guests, please note that our graduation celebration will commence promptly at 7 p.m. We kindly remind everyone to refrain from bringing horns or other noisemakers to the ceremony, ensuring that all attendees can fully enjoy the proceedings. We eagerly anticipate honoring the accomplishments and reflecting on the journey of the graduating class of 2024 as we come together for this memorable occasion.
