Members of the Escalon Gustafson-Thompson American Legion Post 263 and the American Legion Riders were on the job early Sunday morning, June 14 in Escalon. They placed American flags along Main Street and the surrounding areas, with the brisk breeze keeping the flags flying throughout the day in observance of Flag Day. Originally, a flag retirement ceremony was also scheduled but that was postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. Still, the flags were in evidence throughout the community.
