Foghat will be performing at the Ironstone Amphitheatre in Murphys on Saturday, Sept. 7, with Deep Purple and Joyous Wolf also taking the stage.

Foghat members are drummer and founding member Roger Earl, lead guitarist Bryan Bassett, lead vocals and rhythm guitarist Charlie Huhn, and bass player Rodney O’Quinn. The iconic band from the past is rocking just as hard as they did decades ago with their blend of blues, boogie and rock ‘n’ roll, their music continuing to rock fans everywhere.

Foghat, the Kings of Boogie Rock, have been a mainstay on the music scene since first forming in London in 1971. The band’s unique mix of blues, hard rock, boogie and its signature use of slide guitar has earned the band eight gold records, one platinum album and one double platinum record.

Many of their classic hits are still in heavy rotation on classic rock radio years after their release including Fool for the City, I Just Want to Make Love to You, Drivin’ Wheel, Stone Blue and, of course, the band’s signature hit, Slow Ride.

They’ve released more than 20 albums over the years, most of which feature the band’s unrelenting in-your-face hard rock crunch mixed with the blues, a genre of music the band remains passionate about to this day. They continue to tour non-stop, to the delight of both longtime fans and a younger generation of concert-goers who appreciate and enjoy the band’s music and legacy.

Kicking off the epic rock-n-roll concert under the stars is Joyous Wolf. They are a rock band from Southern California that was formed in 2014 by vocalist Nick Reese, guitarist Blake Allard, bassist Greg Braccio, and drummer Robert Sodaro.

Deep Purple headlines the Long Goodbye Tour which will include over 25 dates across North America including the stop in Murphys.

With a body of work spanning seven decades, Deep Purple has helped pioneer and define the hard rock genre while progressively moving into new areas to keep their sound fresh and attract new fans to the legions who have remained loyal since the band’s inception.
