Princeton Review

Stanislaus State has earned a spot on The Princeton Review’s list of “Best 389 Colleges” for 2024, which was published on The Princeton Review’s website in mid-August. This is the 18th consecutive year the University has been included on the Review’s national list of best colleges. The Review also recognized Stan State as one of the top 79 colleges in the West along with seven other California State University campuses.

Sustainable Farming

Members of Stanislaus State’s Agriculture and Geography and Environmental Resources Departments have returned from abroad. Students and faculty members recently explored sustainable farming practices in France during an eight-day visit to the country led by Chantelise Pells, a lecturer in agriculture and geography. The trip provided students with inspiring examples of successful coordination and collaboration between farmers and learning about the importance of urban agriculture and the implementation of aquaculture systems.

New Year Begins

In front of a packed audience of students, staff and faculty members, administrators and guests, Stanislaus State Interim President Sue Borrego kicked off the 2023-2024 academic year Thursday, Aug. 17, by delivering an inspiring Fall Welcome Address, emphasizing community and collaboration.

“My goal is to work with you while building on the strong sense of community Stan State is known for,” Borrego said. “We have the opportunity, responsibility and privilege of creating a learning environment that not only celebrates our differences, but also harnesses the power to drive us forward. We’re not just doing day-to-day work. We are shaping the future.”The Daybook provides a look at items going on at Stanislaus State University in Turlock.
