Dates are set and the 2025 edition of Escalon’s annual Park Fete celebration will be hosted on Friday and Saturday, July 25 and 26 in and around the city’s Main Street Park. The Escalon Lions Club is the host organization for the Park Fete celebration, which has an ‘Escalon Round Up’ theme this year.

Several events precede the two-day festival, with the Senior Mr. and Mrs. Escalon Luncheon on Tuesday, July 22; Miss Escalon Pageant on Wednesday, July 23 and the Little Miss and Mr. Escalon Pageant on Thursday, July 24.

Sign-ups are being sought for the Miss Escalon and Little Miss and Mr. Escalon pageants; those interested can sign up in person on Monday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. on the Main Street Stage. This year’s ‘Little’ pageant will seek to crown a Little Mister and Miss Buckaroo, to go along with the Western theme for the 2025 Park Fete, and the Miss Escalon theme is Rodeo Queen.

Preparations are also being made for the Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by Escalon Strong, set for a 6 p.m. start on Friday, July 25 with registration at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s Park Fete Run is being sponsored by Escalon Fit and will be hosted Saturday morning, July 26, with the 10k runners taking off at 7:30 a.m. and the 5k starting at 7:45 a.m., being staged at El Portal Middle School, 805 First St. Escalon. Early registration is $40 by Saturday, May 31 and includes a custom race shirt; registration fee June 1 and thereafter is $50 and does not include a race shirt. The annual Park Fete Parade on Saturday, July 26 is being sponsored by the Escalon American Legion Post 263 with a 9:30 a.m. check-in time, 10:30 a.m. start.

The Park Fete Poker Tournament, sponsored by the Escalon Poker Club, will return to the Grange Hall on Main Street on Saturday, July 26 as well, with a time to be determined.

Vendor booths, the carnival and the Lions Club beer booth will open at 4 p.m. Friday, July 25 with music on stage throughout the afternoon and evening.

Saturday, July 26 will feature more entertainment, food, beverages, vendor booths, carnival rides and games for kids and more, including performances by PowerHouse Dance Studio and a flag ceremony presentation by the American Legion Honor Guard.
