Workers at the checkout table were kept busy with a steady stream of buyers at Saturday’s holiday bazaar.

Officially known as the ‘Kris Kringle Market,’ the annual holiday bazaar and luncheon was hosted on Saturday, Nov. 3 at Saron Lutheran Church in Escalon.

With a wide array of handmade jewelry, home goods, homemade jams, jellies, candy, breads and cookies, holiday ornaments and more, shoppers could find plenty to take home for themselves or set aside for gift giving.

Many samples of the homemade treats were available as well and the event also featured a lunch menu with a baked potato bar, chili, salad and beverages.

Photos with Santa were part of the festivities and proceeds from the event benefit the church and its programs.

Volunteers stayed busy in the kitchen serving up lunch, while the helper elves organized the photo opportunities with Santa and the crew at the checkout table was ringing up plenty of purchase throughout the day.
