This year’s edition of the Escalon Chamber of Commerce Wine and Brew Stroll is on the calendar for Saturday, Sept. 30.

Tickets are available now for the 21-and-over only event, which will be staged along Escalon’s Main Street, between First and Third.

Planning committee member and Chamber Vice President Jessica Wylie said they are also offering a new feature, a VIP area, that will be set up at The Shop on Main Street.

“It’s a fun thing we’re trying out,” Wylie explained, adding that only 50 VIP tickets will be available for this new attraction.

Regular tickets are $45 and the VIP ticket is $65, which includes a private area with air conditioning, a private bathroom, in and out privileges and some different food and wine options. The Shop space is being donated for use by Diana Scott, Wylie said.

“We are about half sold out” of the VIP tickets, she added.

Elsewhere, the regular $45 ticket price gets attendees the opportunity to enjoy a number of wines and specialty craft brews, plenty of hors d’oeuvres, live music and prize drawing opportunities.

“So far we have McManis and Delicato Winery committed and more to come,” noted Wylie. “We are also looking for businesses to volunteer to pour.”

Food options right now will include the crew from Ace Hardware manning the grill, also some food being offered by Main Street Garage, Tacos de Nieve and Joe’s 2 Go – Yakamein.

Stroll hours are 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30. Businesses that assist with pouring the evening of the stroll are also able to provide information about their businesses at the table they are working.

Wylie said the stroll is the next big event the Chamber is planning; they also put on the festive Christmas on Main gathering in December but are focusing their attention right now on the Wine and Brew Stroll.
