Escalon Librarian Amanda Clifford was on hand for the monthly Farmers Market in Escalon recently, promoting the Summer Reading Program at the local branch library on Second Street. Summer Reading is open to all ages, with the program having kicked off on June 1 and continuing through July 31. Prizes are awarded for reaching certain levels of books read and logged; there are also special programs planned. Coming up are Legos and Listen on Tuesday, June 13 at 3:30 p.m.; Science Wizard on Wednesday, June 14 at 2 p.m.
