There wasn’t a shortage of things to do as part of the annual Park Fete celebration in Escalon, with activities centered in and around the city’s Main Street Park on Friday and Saturday, July 25 and 26.

From the festive parade on Saturday morning, bicycle races and cornhole competition on Friday night, nearly non-stop entertainment on stage, food, beverages and vendors with a wide variety of merchandise, there seemed to be something for everyone.

Organizers were pleased not only with the overall fest but pointed to the near perfect weather – temperatures didn’t even reach 90 degrees over the weekend – as making for a great backdrop for the community to come out and enjoy the fun.

EYC booth 730
One of the most popular places to grab a bite to eat during Park Fete weekend turned out to be the tri-tip and linguica booth run by the Escalon Youth Cougars organization, grilling up a storm both Friday evening and all day Saturday.
Powerhouse 730
A young group of dancers from Powerhouse Dance Studio is on stage Saturday at Park Fete, one of many that performed during a show that featured some ballet, tap, hip hop routines and more.
730 Western band
Among Friday’s line up of entertainment was Western Bound, local musicians who took the stage and served up some classic country and rock sounds.
