Stingrays, tigers, and puppets – all will show up this year at the Stanislaus County Fair in July. Let your imagination run wild at the fair with three new features. They will include the interactive Walk in the Wild Exhibit, the spectacular Magical Moments from the Wizard of Oz Marionette Show, and the live Stingrays Exhibit.

“We try to make each Fair better than the year before, having new exhibits and entertainment achieves that,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “We are extremely excited to have such wonderful, innovative and hands-on attractions at this year’s Fair.”

The New Walk in the Wild, presented by Doctors Medical Center and Emanuel Medical Center, will replace the Dinomania Exhibit. Guests can walk through a jungle atmosphere with exotic animals from all over the world, such as tigers and bobcats. Walk in The Wild is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping all species of wild animals who, for various reasons, find themselves without a place to live out their lives.

The new and exciting Magical Moments from The Wizard of Oz presents beloved songs from the “Wizard of Oz” as Dorothy and Toto dance and sing their way down the ‘Yellow Brick Road.’ Meet the Scarecrow, Tin-Man, Cowardly Lion and many other delightful ... and not so delightful characters from that classic children’s book by L. Frank Baum. Step back in time with this unique marionettes performance, presented on a beautifully hand-crafted Italian Baroque Puppet Theater. This traditional style of puppetry is something rarely seen in today’s modern world. An experience your family will truly cherish for years to come.

Not only are puppets in town, but live stingrays are too. The sea life is coming to the fairgrounds. Enjoy this live, hands-on experience to learn about marine life and all its exotic creatures. Guests can feed the stingrays as well as touch them while learning. Come check out the world’s only traveling “self-contained” stingray exhibit.

The 2019 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 12 for a 10-day run. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass are now on sale. Corporate ticket sales are also available to purchase at a highly discounted rate. Visit the Fair’s website for ticket information at www.stancofair.com.
