Modesto Junior College Department of Dance presents “Come fly with Jam ‘n Jive – Let us take you to your dancing destination!” with performances from Wednesday, Sept. 26 through Saturday, Sept. 29, nightly at 7 p.m. in the Main Auditorium of the Performing and Media Arts Center on East Campus, 435 College Ave., Modesto.

The community is invited to experience an evening of dance that provides a journey through the birthplaces of some of the most influential and popular musical artists, including Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Macklemore, Jason Mraz and many more.

“Our cast of 51 MJC dancers will infuse a vibrant and magnetic energy within different genres of jazz dance,” said Kim T. Davis, MJC professor of dance. “Our tour guides will entertain and take you on an adventure to dance destinations like New York, London, New Zealand, Los Angeles and many more popular locations. Don’t miss out … we hope you can add us to your itinerary.”

MJC Dance also welcomes Jam ‘n Jive guest performers from Gregori, Beyer, Downey, Davis, Ceres, Central Valley, Central Catholic and Modesto high schools, and dance studios of 5678 Dance, Backstage Dance Academy and The Dance Academy.
