The Veterans Service Office of San Joaquin County is hosting a Veterans Benefits and Information Fair on Tuesday, June 21 form 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Robert J. Cabral Ag Center. The center is at 2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton, and veterans can attend to learn about benefits, senior living communities, health and financial resources and community service. Information will be provided about valuable benefits available to veterans and their spouses. Stop by the fair for assistance connecting and scheduling appointments with service providers.

“The event is a collaboration of local, county, federal, and state agencies and service providers. We invite all to attend,” said Virginia A. Wimmer, SMSgt (Ret), Deputy Director Veterans Services for San Joaquin County Health Care Services Agency. “In addition to invaluable information and benefits there will be free basket giveaways, and food trucks available.”

Sponsors include the Veterans Services Office of San Joaquin County, Health Care Service Agency and Rio Las Palmas Senior Living. Among the participating agencies are San Joaquin General Hospital and County Clinics, San Joaquin County Human Services Agency, VA Healthcare Enrollment and Eligibility, CalVet, Employment Development Department, San Joaquin County Public Health Emergency Preparedness and more.
