Farmington Fire Department Chief Conni Bailey, left, and firefighter John Kalebaugh assisted on a vegetation fire Monday afternoon, Aug. 15 in the 12000 block of Valley Home Road, outside Oakdale, that burned a portion of a field and damaged some almond trees. Though it was brought under control fairly quickly, the fire did require a response from multiple departments, with Escalon assisting along with Farmington and crews from Stanislaus Consolidated.
