All are invited to the heart of the Sierra Nevada Foothills for a celebration like no other this week. Join in for four fun-filled days of carnival, competitions, food, and live music at the Lumber Jubilee running Thursday, June 22 through Sunday, June 25 in Tuolumne.

This year, they are celebrating the 68th annual Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee. This is a free event, originally began as a way to celebrate the re-opening of the Lumber Mill after the Great Depression. Starting Thursday, June 22, the band TripWire will be playing some great rockin’ tunes. On Friday, the rock band Remedy will entertain, and on Saturday, favorite local band Upland’s Drive will be rocking the park while you eat, drink, dance, and celebrate the region’s local logging history. Music starts at 7 p.m. This event is more than family friendly, but if you crave adventure and sport you can compete in the events and test your skills in arm wrestling, boxing, axe throwing, women’s and children’s events, or watch the Hot Saw competition and tenacious Tug of War. Festivities are planned June 22 through June 25 in the town of Tuolumne, with events staged at Tuolumne Memorial Park. For more information call (209) 352-4698.
