Three Paintings Offered In Park Fete Drawing

Escalon Historical Society will have three paintings available in their annual Park Fete drawing next month.

Tickets are $5 each and the drawing will take place at the museum at 2 p.m. on Park Fete Saturday, July 16. Paintings offered include a pair of water colors painted by Nora Lee Vest and donated by surviving members of her family. One is titled ‘Ducks Take Off’ and the other is ‘Marsh Ducks Arrive.’ The third painting is by Ethel Kalbach and depicts a country homestead with a barn and grassy fields. Tickets can be purchased at the museum on Main Street.

Museum hours are Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Meetings of the Escalon Historical Society are the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. at the museum and the society’s Reminisce Day is the first Wednesday of each month at the museum.
