Escalon Unified School District is hosting a teacher credential information session, scheduled for Thursday, March 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the school district board room, 1520 Yosemite Ave.

Presenters will include Dr. Elmano Costa, chair of the Department of Teacher Education and Katie Olivant, chair, Department of Liberal Studies at California State University, Stanislaus.

Teaching is the fastest growing job category in Central California with a teacher shortage currently in effect. The program will cover the essentials to enter the teaching field as a career, as well as available credential programs and job opportunities.

All those interested are encouraged to attend the information session.
