Sunday In The Park Slated
ecc

Sunday in the Park, sponsored by the Escalon Chamber of Commerce on the first Sundays in the summer months, will take place on Main Street Park on Aug. 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In observance of National Root Beer Float Day kids will be assisted in the making of root beer floats with ice cream and root beer donated by MarVal.

Since school begins just a few days later in the same week, there will be back-to-school book bags donated by the Friends of the Escalon Library filled with school supplies donated by Heck of a Deal. These bags will be offered in opportunity drawings taking place several times each hour with the winner needing to be present to win.

Escalon Branch Librarian Jamie Turner will lead kids in making craft sailboats to be floated on an improvised pond. Face painting will be offered by Sonya Huff. Chalk for drawing on the pavement in front of the stage will be available for aspiring young artists. This event promises fun for the whole family.
