Escalon Animal Shelter will host a spay/neuter clinic at the shelter on Sunday, Jan. 4. East Bay Mobile Country Vet will be at the clinic and accept animals from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

There are vouchers available to help with the cost of the program, with the animal owner paying a portion of the procedure cost and grant funds also covering a portion.

Costs will range from $20 customer cost for feline neuter, $35 for feline spay, $40 for canine neuter and $50 for canine spay.

Animals will be ready for pick up the same day and residents will be contacted when the procedures is complete.

The program is available to Escalon residents and those in surrounding areas. The shelter will not be able to keep animals overnight. Any additional costs related to the surgery – e-collars, pain medication, etc. – will be paid for by the customer.

Residents will purchase the vouchers for their animals from the shelter on Sunday, Jan. 4. Once the voucher is purchased they will sign the surgery form and turn the animals over to the vet so the pets and money should be brought to the shelter on Sunday.
