An annual increase in the city’s solid waste rates has just taken effect.

In accordance with the City of Escalon’s contact with Gilton Solid Waste, the annual increase has been applied to all solid waste rates effective Monday, Aug. 15. The 2016 increase, calculated using the Consumer Price Index, has been set at 2.5 percent.
