Hundreds of local youths suited up with the cleats and shin guards for opening day of the youth soccer season in Escalon on Saturday, Sept. 10. Here, players from both teams scramble after the ball during an afternoon contest. Games were played all day at the Hogan-Ennis Field sports complex, with lots of goals and plenty of cheers.
