escalon

A pair of unique events for the community are coming up in about a month’s time – and organizers said tickets for both are available now.

On Saturday, Sept. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Main Street, Escalon will play host to the Escalon Wine and Spirits Stroll, offered in cooperation with the Escalon Chamber of Commerce.

Advance tickets will be available up until 4 p.m. the day of the event, at a cost of $25 and tickets at the event will be $30. There will be a variety of wines and spirits to enjoy, along with food, music and more.

Tickets can be purchased through the Escalon Chamber of Commerce website or by contacting Steph Ennis at 310-384-2562. For more information about the fall stroll, visit www.escalonchamberofcommerce.org/upcoming-events/.

Lorina’s Edible Garden, meanwhile, will be the location for a special night of dinner and live theater – also on Saturday, Sept. 15 – with the audience taking part in the ‘whodunit’ written and directed by Escalon High School alum Taylor Carnes.

The show, Murder Takes Talent, unfolds in Grandpa’s Barn on Enterprise Road, with players in the show seated amongst the audience. The event will begin with a no host cocktail hour at 6 p.m. and the dinner and show begin at 7 p.m., with tickets for the dinner and show priced at $40 per person.

With a rating of ‘PG 13’ the performance is being sponsored by Laugh for a Change and Lorina’s Edible Garden.

Diners are invited to solve the mystery as well as get involved in the show.

Tickets are available online by going to squareup.com/store/taylor-carnes-productions or call 209-691-0551 to reserve seats.
