Escalon residents joined in with others across the country on Friday, Nov. 11 to mark Veterans’ Day, remembering those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to this country while celebrating those that have come home and saluting those currently serving. There was a feeling of thankfulness in the air as the community gathered for a downtown parade, followed by a ceremony at the city’s Community Center and finally, a chicken barbecue.
