Longtime Escalon resident, retired businessman and former city official Ralph Verschoor will be honored with an Open House to mark his 90th birthday next week.

The Monday, Feb. 15 Open House is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Shorty’s, 1205 Escalon Ave., Suite 11 in Escalon. There will be cake, coffee and punch and the chance to wish Verschoor a happy birthday. He has lived in Escalon for 70 years and remains an active member of the Gustafson-Thompson American Legion Post in the community.

Daughter Karen Lucas is planning the Open House and said all in the community are welcome to help Verschoor celebrate his special day.
