The weekend brought a special classic car show to nearby Knights Ferry, hosted by and in support of American Veterans First, which has its headquarters in Riverbank. Among the cars on display was a 1957 Chevrolet 150 dubbed ‘Trouble Maker’ by its Ripon owners. Also, members of the Mid-Cal Blue Star Moms organization were on hand with information about ongoing efforts to support the troops and were taking donations to send care packages overseas. Representing the group were Chapter President Charilyn Damigo, left, and Financial Secretary Roberta Elliott.
