Lottery Awards $1 Million In Stockton Ticket Purchase

A California Lottery win in San Joaquin County saw one lucky player score $1 million on a $10 Scratchers ticket sold in Stockton.

The game is called 50X the Money and $1 million is the maximum you can win on the game. Maria G. Magallanes claimed the prize, but declined media requests for interviews.

The ticket was purchased at the ARCO AM/PM at 4855 South SR 99 in Stockton. This retailer is now a winner too. It will be receiving a $5,000 bonus just for selling the winning ticket. The bonus is paid from a separate fund and is not deducted from the winner’s prize. This massive win means this ARCO also qualifies for a spot on the California Lottery’s list of Lucky Retailers. That is a special designation afforded only to retailers who have paid out large amounts of prizes to players in a calendar year. These businesses receive special Lucky Retailer signage to place on their windows. These locations are also featured in the Lucky Retailers section of the California Lottery’s website.

The 10X, 20X, 50X and 100X the Money family of Scratchers is part of the Lottery’s continued effort to give out more prizes, create more winners and earn more money for California public education.
