California Eastern Star, including the local Escallonia Chapter, has formulated a Vision Statement.

The Order of the Eastern Star is a fraternal organization of men and women committed to providing an environment of Friendship and Fellowship, regardless of ages, by implementing innovative ideas, facilitating positive change and planning for the future, while working cohesively with the Masonic Lodge, the oldest fraternal organization.

Goals are mutual respect, diversity of members and service to the community and assistance to members through creative programs and activities. This vision statement sets forth the group’s purpose and the goals for the Order.

This year, 2017, OES leaders are encouraging all chapters throughout the State of California to be involved in local communities by working with local food banks.

Escallonia Chapter #447, Order of the Eastern Star, filled several grocery bags with the words “Eastern Star Cares” and adorned with the group’s logo.

The bags were distributed to help meet the needs of the area’s hungry, with the local chapter encompassing the Oakdale, Riverbank and Escalon communities.

The Order of the Eastern Star wants this project throughout California to be a success for those that need assistance. Local chapter members said they were more than happy to contribute to the area food banks.
