Kiwanis Plans Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser

Getting their crab from outside the state, members of the Escalon Kiwanis Club want everyone to know that their annual Crab Feed will go off as planned in January.

This will be the 12th annual crab feed put on by the organization, with tickets available now at $50 per person. Date for the event is Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 and along with the all-you-can-eat crab, there will be drawings for door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, live and silent auctions with a variety of items and a fun pie auction as well.

Proceeds from the crab feed will benefit Escalon High School scholarships and other youth programs. For tickets or more information, contact Pam Dyer at 209-401-8496.

The crab feed is offered at the Escalon Community Center with no host cocktails kicking off the event at 6 p.m.; dinner is served at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available individually or you can reserve a round table for eight at $550 with the price including business advertisement, business card on the placemat, 16 drink tickets and eight wine glasses.

While there have been issues with California’s crab season, Dyer said the Kiwanis Club has traditionally gotten its crab from Oregon or Washington and the same will be true for the 12th annual event, insuring there will be plenty of crab to serve up for diners.
