Members of the Escalon Kiwanis Club are getting ready for the annual Kiwanis Spelling Bee, set for Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Escalon Presbyterian Church on First Street.

Elementary students in first through fifth grades will be taking part, representing Dent, Van Allen, Gateway Academy, Farmington and Collegeville schools. There will be prizes for first through third place in each division, with first grade competition at 9 a.m., followed by second grade, 10 a.m.; third grade, 11 a.m.; fourth and fifth grade, noon.
