Hectic schedules, obligations and long lines at retail outlets often cloud the most important feature of the holiday season, giving. The holiday season is, after all, the season of giving and Community Hospice Foundation aims to restore the true meaning of the holidays by taking part in #GivingTuesday.
This year, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, Community Hospice is participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Last year, more than 45,000 organizations in 71 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.
Here are some ways you can support the Community Hospice during this international day of giving:
Use the hashtag #GivingTuesday on social media and let your friends and family know that you plan to give to the Community Hospice Foundation.
Post a #UNselfie on social media to express why you plan to give to the Community Hospice Foundation.
Visit your local Community Hospice Hope Chest Thrift Store and donate gently used items.
Contact Hospice’s Volunteer Department at 209-578-6348 or email lupe.perez@hospiceheart.org to learn about volunteer opportunities.
Visit give.hospiceheart.org to learn more ways you can directly give to support the patients, families and programs of Community Hospice.
Join in on #GivingTuesday to help Community Hospice fulfill its mission of providing compassionate and quality care, education and support to terminally ill patients and their families, regardless of ability to pay.
